Quick-release couplings ISO-A, ISO 7241-A are classic quick couplings equipped with conical valves (spherical valves are also found).
ISO-A, ISO 7241-A couplings are among the first hydraulic connector designs, widely used in systems with relatively low loads. They are typically installed on agricultural machinery, towed equipment, municipal vehicles, and other similar machinery.
The valve shape reduces resistance to the flow of hydraulic fluid. The coupling of the two halves is secured by a ball locking mechanism.

The valve design allows the coupling halves to rotate relative to each other in a closed state under pressure, preventing twisting of hydraulic hoses.

The main advantage of ISO-A, ISO 7241-A couplings is their low cost, while the main drawback is the presence of an open cavity in the socket half, which requires the use of plastic dust caps.

For applications with high impulse loads and heavy operating conditions, FIRG-type quick couplings are recommended. The table provides reference data for dimensional specifications.

In the standard version, the couplings are fitted with Nitrile (NBR) seals, allowing operating temperatures from -10 °C to +110 °C. For special operating conditions, ISO-A couplings can be equipped with seals made of Viton, EPDM, or Neoprene.

ISO-A couplings in 1/2″ size are also manufactured in a special version that allows disconnection of the halves under residual pressure.
